My name is Jürgen Lobenz and I´m working for EMC Corporation (Munich, Germany) as an Systems Engineer. Therefore I´m getting in touch with various types of technologies like storage & virtualization, cloud, big data and much more interesting stuff I would like to share with you. This blog is a personal blog and my personal opinion will not necessarily reflect the opinion & views of my employer EMC and my posts will not be read in advance by EMC.
Furthermore it is about my job related core areas like storage and virtualization technologies but will also cover other IT related topics from time to time. What are my core areas in detail you may ask?
- EMC arrays like VNX, XtremIO, Isilon
- EMC storage virtualization with VPLEX
- EMC object storage like ECS
- Software defined datacenter, especially Software defined storage
In my life before EMC I was working as IT project manager (also in the focus area of virtualization and storage), deputy team lead for a data center with up to 15 system engineers and solution architect for a system retailer. Even though I was working with different products there was always a strong focus on data center virtualization with VMWare products, Microsoft data center applications like Exchange & SQL server and different types of storage arrays. This focus is also reflected by my certifications with EMC, VMWare, Microsoft and HP.
